Tracking terror to terminate – How and why not?
In his past Vijayadasami address to the cadre of the organization, the Chief of RSS Dr. Mohan Bhagwath has touched some alarming but much ignored issues of Islamist terror being fomented in Southern parts of our nation especially in TamilNadu and Kerala. He has also expressed worry about the surge in the smuggling of rare minerals by anti-social elements. The issue of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh causing population imbalance and seriously disrupting tranquil life of sons and daughters of the soil was also raised by him and he sought a strong action from the Government to check the trouble. He lamented about the delay in getting an action plan and action from the State and Central Governments to eliminate the Jehadi and Naxal terror.
With the words of caution from Dr. Bhagwath let us take a look at how can this be done. Hunting down the people involved is not a good option, as that will get more fanatics from around the world to continue the terror activities. How come fanatics from around the world? Yes, they are a notorious network of Islamist terrorists, brainwashed by top notch fanatics who are hired for this job because their second nature is fanaticism.
Some people wish to call it religious fundamentalism. But that is wrong. Fundamentalism is going back to the basics and living by the principles of the religion. The present version of Jehad, for which people are brainwashed by fanatics, is not by any means fit into the definition of Jehad as suggested by Arabist experts. Ending one’s life my human means, in other words suicide, is not advocated by fundamental Islam, but suicide bombing is claimed as a way to martyr oneself for the religion’s cause by these fanatics. This is totally against the basics and not fundamentalism. This is religious fanaticism.
Salafism/Wahhabism is a weird form of advocating back to basics in Islam as described by Arabists and Quran experts. History says that Salafists/Wahhabists are the most intolerant lot to other schools of thoughts in Islam, leave alone respect for other religions. This fanatical group was restricted to a fair extent by the strict and rational administration of the Ottoman Empire. The economy of middle east Asia was in a good condition under Ottoman rule. With the collapse of Ottoman Empire the fanatical elements took over and they started spreading their fanatical version of religion with petro dollars.

India has suffered the most at the hands of fanatic Islamist rulers. They looted the wealth of the nation, they tortured those Hindu people who were bent of living their lives by the ways and means practiced by their forefathers. Those who converted for fear or favour were not treated as equals but they escaped the torture and lived a comfortable life. The Islamist terror in India is not brooded on what Hindus do, but on what they are. The Moslems were rulers for centuries in India and with a stroke of a pen, after striking with swords and guns, the British reduced them to citizens, thus equals to the Hindus who were ruled.
